Resembling an Old West town with plenty of false-front architecture, Downtown Rochester contains a wide selection of shops and restaurants.  Rochester is especially recognized during the month of December with its Big Bright Light Show.

Browse the antique stores, gift shops, and art galleries before a coffee at one of the cafes. In the evening, try one of the many restaurants, or stop in at a local pub. The Downtown Rochester Farmers’ Market takes place on Saturdays, May through October. Other downtown events include Music in the Park, the Art & Apples Festival, and the Heritage Festival.

If you enjoy the outdoors, Rochester offers many opportunities to enjoy all seasons. Try out the “Rail to Trails” on each end of downtown including the Clinton River Trail and the Paint Creek Trail. These both follow their respective rivers which connect just steps from Forest Ridge. Rochester also offers multiple parks fully accessible to all.
